Nunavut and Northwest Territories Maps

Nunavut and the Northwest Territories are the two other territories of Canada. The Northwest Territories features the vast Great Slave and Great Bear lakes as well as the massive Mackenzie River and world heritage site in the Nahanni National Park Reserve.

Nunavut means "our land" in the native language of the Inuit’s and is the fifth largest subnational entity in the world. It is also Canada’s largest but least populated province. Most of Canada’s Arctic Archipelago is contained within Nunavut along with all the islands of James Bay, Hudson Bay and Ungava Bay.
